I'm a cynical bastard but at times, my fellow citizen just spoils my mood.

Bless them all.

The Rocky Mountain Blogger bash was a lot of fun. I drove in and got stuck in Broncos traffic for too long but it was good to see the gang.

Rae of A Likely Story came all the way from southern Utah to encounter the crowd. That bespeaks something but we can debate what. Nonetheless, it was a pleasure to meet her.

Zombyboy claims that everyone likes me and that if I wrote more, I'd have more readers. Well, that's another reader to whom I have failed to communicate my true personality. And yet all in all, I think that Zombyboy and Andy put together one of the better bashes.

My condolences to Clayton's family on their recent loss.

I've been completely disgusted by the circus that has surrounded the obviously unhinged Cindy Sheehan in Crawford, Texas. Her demands are so obviously posing, given the circumstances of her and her husband's actual visit with the President last year.

But I was surprised to learn just how extensive the President's contacts with the families of those who've fallen in Afghanistan and Iraq. President Bush just keeps surprising me. I can't think of any President who has interacted with the families of servicemembers like President Bush.
