I've never been a fan of Chris Matthews. While I appreciated that he was one of a few Democrats willing to call Clinton the scoundrel that he was, I have found his columns and his TV program to be highly variable - almost infuriatingly inconsistent. One moment he'll make a well reasoned argument, the next he's spouting some simplistic and vapid platitudes. His weblog is therefore no surprise. Here we have a decent thought and here and here a stupid platitude. If Chris Matthews actually consulted whoever ghosted the smarter comments he makes once in a while, his columns and his program would improve.
