Make no mistake, I'm not a defender of Dr. Stephen Hatfill, the person that the FBI keeps anonymously sourcing news articles accusing of being the person who distributed anthrax via the mails nearly two years ago. While I happen to believe that islamic terrorists distributed the anthrax, in reality I don't have any investment in whether or not he committed those acts. However, regardless of whether or not he's guilty, I long ago tired of the shenanigans of the incompetent bunch that is the FBI. And this is another example of the FBI abuse. If you have evidence of Dr. Hatfill's involvement, charge him. If you don't, shut up and try to pretend to be the professional law enforcement organization this country wants and needs instead of the huge collection of Barney Fife's that you are already known to be.
